e-Supplications

A Pocket Companion of Daily Prayers

Muslims have prayers for pretty much everything they're about to do, so I thought it would be convenient if they could easily access them on their phones. I took a look at existing apps, but while there were many apps with more features and apps purely in Arabic or English, I couldn't find one I liked that

a) Had the Arabic text, the English translation, and the English transliteration,
b) let you save favourites
c) let you search easily, and
d) didn't cost anything or have ads.

So I built it myself. The text is saved in a "preference" file so I didn't have to deal with Core Data. This is fine since the user can't change the text anyway.  The text was taken from an open source version of a common book of supplications, and I went entry by entry, formatting, and copying the text into the app. The finishing touch was coding it for pinch-to-zoom.
